Amber Valetta was born on February 9th, 1974, in Arizona (USA). Family soon moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Amber was raised. Amber wanted to become a sociologist, but her life took a turn. Her mother enrolled her in a modeling school at the age of 15. Her first shoot was posing for Italian Vogue and soon after that she appeared on the cover of French Elle magazine.

Launching her career, Amber has appeared in numerous advertising campaigns for Versace, Calvin Klein, Prada, Valentino, Jil Sander, Gucci, Chanel... She even co-hosted MTV show "House of Style". Instead of becoming sociologist, Amber used her position as a celebrity to support various charity organizations.

Amber dated Leonardo DiCaprio for a while, then got married to Hervé Le Bihan. After divorce she started dating Olympic volleyball player Christian McCaw.

From modelling career she turned into acting. In 2000 she appeared in movies Drop Back Ten, What Lies Beneath (as the ghost of Madison Elizabeth Frank) and The Family Man. In next years followed movies and series like Perfume, Hysteria: The Def Leppard Story, Max Keeble's Big Move, Lucky - Something for Everyone, Duplex, Raising Helen, Rock Me Baby - Two's Company, Four's a Crowd... She starred in last years´ Hitch together with Will Smith. 2005 also saw her in movie Transporter 2.

This year she acted in movies Man About Town, The Last Time and completed another one, Dead Silence, which will be out in 2007. For 2007 are planned also post-productions and pre-productions: My Sexiest Year, Premonition and Crash Bandits. Will the little girl, who wanted to become sociologist, soon become the Oscar winner?
